Dear Shareholders, Employees, Customers, and Friends,

I am pleased to present Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC’s 10th Integrated Annual Report for the financial year ended 31st March 2024. Despite a challenging business landscape, we demonstrated resilience and strategic agility, achieving a Group Turnover of Rs. 7,763 million. While Profit After Tax (PAT) declined by 36% to Rs. 1,643 million from the previous year’s record highs, we remained financially strong.
A key achievement was being named ‘Overall Winner’ at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2023, marking a first for a plantation company. We continued leading in quality and sustainability while making strides in crop diversification to ensure long-term growth.

Looking forward, we are optimistic about Sri Lanka’s economic recovery and are committed to leveraging our strengths in innovation, sustainability, and governance to drive future growth and deliver value to our stakeholders.

Sincerely,

Mohan Pandithage
Chairman
